There is nothing so wise as silence,
until you grew keen with every gasp,
to crush, what you learned to be wrong
and inflame what you know to be right.

me too! :)

nice! the focus works nicely as well. i take it that you had the camera resting on the ground?

Yes, I did have the camera laying on the ground--I think it helps to stabalize the camera (since I don't have one of those spiffy remote controls that allow you to release the shutter without touching the camera--though I really should buy one--they are only like 15 bucks-- ;) )...but thanks so much for the kind comments! :D The camera focused more on the middle of the grasshopper--I was hoping it would focus more on his/her eyes--but I think it came out okay--for a nighttime picture anyway!

yeah it came out nice. the shutter remotes are handy, especially for night shots. With the bulb setting on my camera I hit the remote button once to open the shutter then when ever I'm done with the shot then click the button again to close the shutter. Also for self portraits and group shots it is very handy

:ohmygod: I can't believe I forgot about the bulb function--I always thought of using the bulb function for things like blurring traffic, etc.--but I never thought about using it for self portraits, etc. thanks for bringing that up! :blushes:
